This Sunday I am preaching about the Credit Crunch and how as Christians we respond to the situation. You will see from an earlier post some of my thoughts on it.
I can’t but help reflect on how a credit squeeze became a credit crunch to now a credit crisis. Who decides the timing of these passages of time ? It seems to me there is a thin line that the media live on between over-reporting the issue…so that situations like Afghanistan,Iraq and Zimbabwe get squeezed from our attention….. and not keeping people up to date with the current situation. I wonder when we are going to hear about ‘credit crunch fatigue’ i.e. people are fed up hearing about it !
One thing is for certain… some people are being greatly affected by the current financial situation. If that is you, let me recommend an excellent book which will help you with your personal finances: The Sixty minute Debt Buster by Katie Clarke. It is full of very practical and down to earth help and advice of how to either avoid debt or find your way out of it if you are in debt
I’ll tell you SOME of my sermon next time !!
