Are you including any of the young men in BB (aged 17+) in your questionnaire? Also agree with your comments on The Shack and thought it very interesting the image of God the Father as feminine - a quality of God often overlooked but surely so valid for those to whom the idea of "father" isn't positive. Have also read "Why women/men can't..." and, whilst simplistic, have definitely noticed some truth in the physiology they describe, especially related to hearing differences.
